Non-Performance Fee Policy
Bidyear requires a verified credit card before you can place a bid. You may still browse lots and auctions without a card on file — verification is only required when you are ready to bid.
If you are the winning bidder and you do not complete the purchase according to the auction terms, invoice deadlines, and seller requirements, Bidyear may charge a non-performance fee to the card on file. The standard buyer non-performance fee is $250 (or the amount published in current platform settings).
Non-performance typically includes failing to pay the invoice by the stated deadline, refusing to provide information the seller reasonably requires to close, abandoning the transaction without an approved release, or otherwise breaching the binding bid contract after the hammer falls.
If a seller does not perform or fails to complete a real estate transaction after a winning bid, Bidyear may charge the seller a $295 real estate transaction fee, withhold payouts, and freeze the seller account for up to 60 days while the matter is resolved.
Refunds, chargebacks, and disputes follow the policies published on each invoice and in these Terms. Bidyear may also suspend or restrict bidding privileges on accounts that repeatedly fail to complete purchases.
